- Piumo is free; Piumo Pro is an optional subscription you buy and cancel in the App Store or Google Play.
- Piumo gives estimates, not medical advice: for health problems, talk to a doctor.
- Your data stays yours and you can delete your account whenever you like.
1. Who we are and what these terms are
Piumo is a service of to be completed, to be completed (to be completed). These terms govern the use of the Piumo app and website. By using Piumo you accept them; how we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
2. The service
Piumo helps you estimate your calorie needs and keep track of food, weight, water, physical activity and fasting. You can use it as a guest, with data only on your phone, or with an account, which stores your data on our servers and syncs it across your devices.
3. Not medical advice
Piumo is not a medical device and doesn't replace a doctor or dietitian. Daily needs, food values (including those from Open Food Facts or suggested by other users) and the amounts recognised from photos are estimates and may contain errors: check them before basing your choices on them.
Ask a doctor before starting a diet or a fast if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an illness or are on medication, or if you have or have had an eating disorder. Stop and see a doctor if you feel unwell.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Piumo.
- An account is personal: keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the web.
5. Piumo Pro
- Piumo Pro adds extra features (for example meal photos, intermittent fasting, unlimited recipes). The current list is in the app.
- It is a monthly or yearly subscription sold by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play): payment, billing, any free trial and refunds follow the store's terms. The price is the one shown before purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it expires, in your store account settings. Deleting the app or your Piumo account does not cancel the subscription.
- If you cancel, Piumo Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If we change the price, the store tells you in advance and, where required, asks you to accept it.
6. Your content
What you enter in your diary remains yours. If you suggest a food for the public catalogue, you grant us, free of charge and without time limit, the right to publish it, correct it and show it to other users, without your name. Only suggest data that is accurate and that you have the right to share; we may refuse or remove anything that isn't.
7. Fair use
Don't use Piumo for unlawful purposes, don't try to access other people's data, don't get around the limits of the service (for example the photo quota), don't scrape the catalogue and don't overload the servers with automated requests. For serious breaches we may suspend your account, after warning you where possible.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We do our best to keep Piumo running, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or technical problems; the diary keeps working offline anyway. We may improve or change features. If we significantly remove a Piumo Pro feature we tell you in advance, and you can cancel.
9. Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence and for anything the law doesn't allow us to exclude. As far as permitted, we are not liable for indirect damage or for choices based solely on the app's estimates. Your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live always remain unaffected.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update the date at the top; for significant changes we notify you in the app at least 15 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before they take effect.
11. App Store
If you downloaded Piumo from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, disputes go to the courts of the place where you live, and the protective rules of your country of residence continue to apply. First of all, write to us at to be completed: we'll try to sort it out together.
